To minimize the time taken to fit bonds, such as in the installation of track circuits, prefabricated railbonds are the most economical choice. Bonds are made to predetermined lengths and supplied ready for use from the factory.
Bright-Bond pin-brazed connections have a very low transition resistance that does not deteriorate with time. They can handle amperages above the capacity of the cable, and vibration from the rail does not affect the performance of the bond.
