Integrated Rectifier Technologies
C.P. Sentinel Series Cathodic Protection Rectifier
SKU: IRTCPSENTAQA
Automatic cathodic protection rectifiers designed to provide precise, stable control of potential, current or voltage across a range of industrial and water and wastewater applications.
The IRT C.P. Sentinel Series offers automatic cathodic protection control to meet a broad range of application requirements. Available in air-cooled and oil-cooled configurations, these rectifiers use specialized controllers to maintain operator-selected output levels, with options for potential, current and voltage control. Features such as loss-of-reference shutdown on potential-control models, anti-spiking circuitry and high-energy AC and DC surge protection support reliable operation and accurate cathodic protection monitoring.
The series includes the Aqua-Line Air Series, developed for water and wastewater applications requiring IR-drop-free potential control; the Potential Control Series, designed for applications requiring stable “ON” or IR-drop-free structure-to-reference electrode potential; and the Current/Voltage Control Series, designed to maintain a selected DC output current or voltage.
Product variants: Aqua-Line
Key Benefits
- Maintain precise cathodic protection control: Automatically adjusts DC output to maintain the operator-selected potential, current or voltage set point, depending on the configuration.
- Improve measurement accuracy: Potential-control models offer IR-drop-free control to minimize IR-drop error in structure-to-reference electrode potential measurements, where configured and applicable.
- Support stable output: Automatic control provides near-infinite output adjustment steps, with current and voltage control accuracy within ±2% of the set point and potential control accuracy within ±5 mV on applicable models.
- Help protect coated structures: Potential-control models include loss-of-reference shutdown, which turns off DC output if the reference electrode or its connection fails.
- Reduce output overshoot: Anti-spiking circuitry helps prevent current overshoot following interruption cycles, supporting accurate cathodic protection testing.
- Adapt to different installations: Air-cooled and oil-cooled configurations, flexible electrical ratings and optional monitoring equipment help meet a wide range of application requirements.
