CorTalk SUNBIRD – Solar-Powered CP Remote Monitoring

SKU: CORTALKSNBRD-CUB

Monitor cathodic protection performance and coordinate remote interruption with the CorTalk SUNBIRD family of remote monitoring solutions.

The SUNBIRD series provides remote monitoring and control for cathodic protection (CP) systems, including test posts, bonds and transformer rectifiers. Designed for pipeline operators and corrosion engineers, these devices automatically capture and transmit measurements to the iCPSM4 cloud platform, helping reduce manual inspections and simplify field monitoring. Choose from solar-powered test post monitoring and bond interruption, riser-mounted monitoring, or transformer rectifier monitoring to suit your application.

Key Benefits
  • Reduce site visits and operating costs: Automatically collect and transmit CP measurements from remote or difficult-to-access locations.
  • Improve survey efficiency: Coordinate interruption between compatible remote monitoring units to support Close Interval Potential Surveys (CIPS), DCVG and ON/OFF surveys.
  • Maintain reliable monitoring: Solar-powered models eliminate routine battery replacement, while the SUNBIRD-TR provides up to 30 days of battery backup during external power outages.
  • Identify issues sooner: Receive alarms for configured measurement thresholds and, on the SUNBIRD-TR, rectifier power failure.
  • Simplify deployment: Select a configuration designed for test posts, CP riser posts or transformer rectifiers, with automatic data collection and cloud-based reporting.
